Supervisor Communications

Major project status can be found on the County Planning website, https://www.edcgov.us/Government/Planning

  • Costco development team discussions continuing-anticipate project re-submittal within 30 days 
  • Town and Country Village. DEIR update proceeding along with preparation of a detailed financing plan.  Draft BLHSP (Bass Lake Hills specific plan) PFFP (public facilities finance plan) is being reviewed. Public Hearing dates for Planning Commission and BOS is TBD
  • Nothing New on the AKT Community for Health and Independence project with UC Davis. A formal application for the EDC portion of the project is anticipated.
  • EDH Generations at Green Valley Road. Planning Commission hearing and BOS hearing dates are TBD.
  • Business Park (District 2) ‘Gateway project’ parcel split appeal will be reviewed by the BOS on 10/8/2.
  • Interim Community Objective Design Standards joint workshop with the Planning Commission completed with several recommendations being provided to staff.
  • BOS approved the Bass Lake Apartments appeal unanimously on 9/24/24, causing the developer to re-consider pursuing their original proposal without the parcel split.  

Leadership Team Progress Reports

  • Safe and Healthy Communities – Sheriff’s report, CHP report, EDH Fire report and Healthy Communities report  
  • Thriving Economy- Restructuring of the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee was approved by the BOS.  Multiple applications for have been received with the BOS scheduled to appoint the new 7-member Strategic Economic Enhancement Development (SEED) Committee members now expected on October 15th (Tahoe). 
  • Public Infrastructure- Discussions are on-going relative to the need to replace the Spring Street facility in Placerville, and the lack of capital replacement funding
  • Workforce Excellence- Nothing new to report
  • Strategic Innovation- Nothing new to report
