Guest Speakers:
1) Sheriff Jeff Leikauf (or a member of his staff) will describe the Sheriff’s Office awareness, increased surveillance, and preparedness to respond to recent local antisemitism threats

2) Teresa Correia – President, Friends of the Library (FOL) and Claire Purtich – FOL fund raising, will provide an update on their annual work and future plans

3) Bonni Bergstrom President, Assistance League will discuss their yearly Homes for the Holidays Tour.

Supervisor Communications

  • Nothing new on the CEDHSP project is available for public review-EDC Planning is anticipating the project will be reviewed by the BOS and public in late January 2024.
  • Nothing New on the Costco project-EDH 52 (Tsakopolous development) Expect Full Environmental Impact Review (EIR) to commence in the near future
  • Nothing New on the Town and Country Village Development. Full Environmental Impact Review (EIR) has been started
  • County Strategic Plan Approved by the BOS at the October 17th meeting. The primary change was a slight modification to the Vision Statement, adding the words “rural character and managed growth” to reflect specific language contained in the 2004 General plan
  • BOS approved a Proclamation Policy on 11/7 to provide clarity on what content is allowed and how future proclamations are prepared
  • Long Range Planning is now currently staffed and is addressing many delinquencies for the 2004 General Plan, including the requirement to establish a Scenic Corridor Ordinance. Comprehensive draft schedule will be presented to the BOS

  • Economic Development- Restructuring of the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee continues-CEDAC members are finalizing their inputs and will meet again with the Ad-Hoc committee in November

  • Good Governance- Organizational changes within the CAO’s office
  • Healthy Communities- First Five and EDCOE activity updates
