Maia Schneider of Marshall Hospital

Will share the plans for opening the EDH medical facility (interior demolition of the former Blue Shield office space started) and describe the State’s new hospital seismic standards that will require multi-millions of dollars of improvements

• Nothing New on Costco/EDH 52 Mixed Use (AKT-Tsakopolous development) project- Planning Departments Fact Sheet/Frequently asked questions will be updated when new information is available
• Nothing New on Town and Country Village Development. Full Draft Environmental Impact Review (DEIR) has been started
• AKT Community for Health and Independence. EDC J-6 conceptual review was presented to the BOS and public on April 23rd, with a similar City of Folsom presentation that evening. The proposed project is 2800 total acres, with1400 acres in Sacramento County. A formal application for the EDC portion of the project is anticipated in the near future
• EDH Generations at Green Valley Road. The draft EIR is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2024
• Business Park (District 2) ‘Gateway project’ fact sheet has been released by Planning. The project proponents, Pac Trust, met with a number of community representatives, County Staff and Supervisors Turnboo and Hidahl on April 15th to share information and clarify the ‘scope’ of their project and anticipated daily truck trips etc. Some very helpful facts and references were obtained that will be shared by all involved

Leadership Team Progress Reports

• Safe and Healthy Communities – Sheriff’s report, CHP report, EDH Fire report and Healthy Communities report
• Thriving Economy- Restructuring of the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee nearing completion with several modifications to the Bylaws being finalized by the Econ Dev staff following the BOS inputs.
• Public Infrastructure- Plans for the new County Homeless Navigation Center have shifted to a revised site location on County property adjacent to the County Jail. It would be a ‘low barrier’ facility meeting all of the Fed and State funding requirements. On April 23rd the BOS reviewed the revised planning and directed staff to proceed with the next level of planning.
• Workforce Excellence- An internal employee survey produced some very positive feedback and several ideas for continued improvement-more details to follow
• Strategic Innovation- Nothing new to report
