  • Nothing New on Costco/EDH 52 Mixed Use (AKT-Tsakopolous development) project- Planning Departments Fact Sheet/Frequently asked questions will be updated when new information is available
  • Nothing New on Town and Country Village Development. Full Draft Environmental Impact Review (DEIR) has been started
  • Nothing New on the AKT Community for Health and Independence project with UC Davis. A formal application for the EDC portion of the project is anticipated in the near future
  • EDH Generations at Green Valley Road. The draft EIR is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2024
  • Business Park (District 2) ‘Gateway project’ fact sheet is available from the Planning website.  Additional discussions with the project proponent PacTrust on workforce housing options on portions of their property are on-going
  • 2023-2024 Grand Jury Report includes several new reports released in May that are of interest to EDH residents https://www.eldoradocounty.ca.gov/Public-Safety-Justice/Safety-Justice/Grand-Jury
    • Case 24-06 Voter Initiative Petitions: The People Need to be Heard (involves EDHCSD)
    • Case 24-07 County Office of Education: Are Schools Doing Enough to Address Sexual Harassment?
    • Case 24-08 Emergency Services Authority: Who provides Oversight? (involves EDC)

Leadership Team Progress Reports

  • Safe and Healthy Communities – Sheriff’s report, CHP report, EDH Fire report and Healthy Communities report   
  • Thriving Economy- Restructuring of the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee continues with BOS briefing on June 18th
  • Public Infrastructure- Plans for the new County Homeless Navigation Center have shifted to a revised site location on County property adjacent to the County Jail.  It would be a ‘low barrier’ facility meeting all of the Fed and State funding requirements.  On May 21st the BOS directed staff to develop a permanent Navigation Center with stand-alone transitional housing units at 300 Fair Lane. The BOS also directed staff to develop a temporary family area at the site.
  • Workforce Excellence- An internal employee survey produced some very positive feedback and several ideas for continued improvement-more details to follow
  • Strategic Innovation- 1St meeting scheduled for June 10th
  • APAC – Wednesday June 12th meeting agenda
  • Youth Commission report- Working to fill this vacancy in the fall when Oak Ridge High School re-opens
