Supervisor Communications

  • EDC Strategic plan approved by BOS on 1/30-Great pictorial displays of the history and scenery of EDC
  • Nothing New on Costco/EDH 52 (AKT-Tsakopolous development) project- Planning departments Fact Sheet/Frequently asked questions sheet is being updated
  • Nothing New on the Town and Country Village Development. Full Environmental Impact Review (EIR) has been started
  • AKT has submitted their pre-plan documents for an EDC J-6 review (TBD) of their 1400 acre proposed “Community for Health and Independence”, in conjunction with UC Davis. Multiple Press Outlets have covered the story, as the project also includes 1400 acres (total of 2800 acres) in Sacramento County that might be annexed by the City of Folsom at some future date. The project work is anticipated to start in EDC
  • County DOT presented their list of prioritized 2024 Road Maintenance projects across the County based on this year’s Senate Bill 1 (SB-1) funding

  • Safe and Healthy Communities – Sheriff’s report, CHP report, EDH Fire report and Healthy Communities report
  • Thriving Economy- Restructuring of the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee continues-CEDAC draft Bylaws to be reviewed by the BOS this month
  • Public Infrastructure- Improvements planned for Chili Bar Park (American River access) to be discussed by BOS at 2/6, with funding authorization for planning documents
  • Workforce Excellence- Planning for a County wide survey to assist in making informed countywide workforce decisions-County vacancy rates have been declining
  • Strategic Innovation- Formation of a County employees Strategic Innovation Team in progress
  • APAC – Wednesday February 14th (Valentine’s Day) meeting agenda
  • Youth Commission report- Youth Commission activity update
